eDrawing (EASM) Format

Downloading and Installing Program

eDrawings Viewer is needed to view EASM files.
(NOTE: This method does require that you to fill out a questionnaire for Solidworks).

You can download the Viewer directly from Solidworks Corporation, by clicking on this link http://www.solidworks.com/edrawings/ , and then following the instructions.

You must click the box to confirm statement accuracy and accept the agreement before being
allowed to download the viewer from this site. Answer the directions and follow the instructions
on their site.

Once you have downloaded and installed this program, you can save EASM files to your hard drive, then open and view them.

Saving File

If you click on the "EASM" link next to the shaded drawing, you need to choose (Save this file
to disk). Make sure you remember where you saved the file so that you can go open it later.
While it is downloading you should see a status bar telling you how long it will take to download.

Opening File

Find the file on your hard drive, then double click it, and it should open in the eDrawings program. If this doesn't work, open the "eDrawing Viewer", then find the file & "open" it.
