eDrawing Instructions
eDrawings is a visualization tool. It allows you to manipulate
3-D drawings by rotating and/or enlarging the shaded image.
The HTML version of eDrawings will open up with Internet
Explorer. You must have version 5.0 or above for it to work.
HTML Instructions - (read these instructions to see how
it works)
This is the easiest way to download and view eDrawing images.
The first time you will need to download and install the
viewer software. After installation,
you can easily open any of the HTML eDrawings. This installed
software will also allow
you to use the EASM option (see EASM instructions).
If you don't have Internet Explorer 5.0 or above you may
use one of these methods of viewing eDrawings.
EXE Instructions - (read these instructions
to see how it works)
This is an good method if you want to view only one Extendo
Bed unit. However, if you
plan to view multiple units, it is better to choose a different
option. These files are quite
large (approximately 2 megabytes), which is another reason
you may want to choose
another option. Using the EXE option doesn't install a program
on your computer, because
the eDrawing program is entirely self-contained. Some virus
programs, networks, or system
administrators may not allow you to download this file.
EASM Instructions - (read these instructions to see how
it works)
This method is the best for viewing, because it opens up
in a larger window. It does require
that you to download the Viewer directly from Solidworks.
As specified in the HTML
Instructions, the software only has to be installed once.
After this is done, you can view all
the EASM files that you save to your hard drive. These are
small files and download quickly.
