SUV Installation
Additional Installation Notes for SUV's

When drilling through the carpet or vinyl, the pad underneath can be a problem. To make it easier, do the following: First, use a center punch to mark the hole. The flooring on most SUV's is light enough that a sharp center punch can easily be driven through the flooring for the pilot hole.

Use the center punch to spread the carpet (or vinyl) by moving in a cone like motion. Use a 9/16" drill bit to drill the final hole. Apply heavy pressure at a low speed (keep a firm grip on the drill). Use the reverse on the drill to keep the pad strings from wrapping around the drill bit.

After the Extendo Bed is in place, tighten all anchoring bolts.
